These highly sought after images by George Greenough and Alby Falzons were destined for an art exhibition at the Driftwood Gallery in Newquay, Cornwall, England in August 2007. Collectively exhibiting some of the finest surfing related art from the Golden era of surfing in Australia. This art was then couriered to the US for this show here at WetSand Surf Shop, located in the city of Ventura, California.

Steve Bissell is a world-renowned surf photographer from Panama. Steve’s love of photography led him away from Panama at 18, to Santa Barbara, California. This is where Steve developed a lifelong friendship with George Greeenough. His friendship and travels with George are documented in his rare and beautiful photographs.

I am sure the Californian surfers will appreciate the history and the unique nature of these images. As time goes by these unique items will be a collectable of the highest order in anyone’s collection and no doubt will increase in value. WetSand is pleased to be showing the photographs of three of the most influential photographers in surfing’s history. These signed photographs by George Greenough, Steve Bissell and Alby Falzon will hang in the shop from October 18th though November 18th.
